Season 16 of the Indian Premier League finally comes to an end. The most consistent IPL team, Chennai, lifted the trophy for the 5th time. Gujarat fell just short of making it 2 in 2 to start their IPL journey.

Hitman’s poor season didn’t end well, as he got just 19 runs in his last 2 matches while consuming 17 deliveries.

Batting first, Gujarat got off to a flyer, thanks to Gill. He hammered 129 off just 60, along with 7 fours and 10 sixes. This innings took Gujarat to 233 for 3 in 20 overs as the opener grabbed 111.1 Sportiqo points.


  • Devon Conway 47(25) in the Final


Chasing a target of 171 in just 15 overs, Chennai needed a solid start. Conway provided that with a rapid 47-run knock. He hit 4 fours and 2 sixes in his 25-ball stay. The left-hander was awarded 28 points for this innings.



Gaikwad’s 60-run innings resulted in 24 points for him. He faced 44 balls to hit 7 fours and a six. He was the top scorer in the match as Chennai defended 172 runs against Gujarat.
