Bangalore defeated Rajasthan in a high-voltage contest. It was the first game and what followed was a game between Chennai and Kolkata. Mohammad Siraj(↓4.12%) bowled Jos Buttler(↓0.89%) in the first over of the chase. Devdutt Padikkal and Yashasvi Jaiswal(↑22.09%) added 98 runs in 11 overs for the second wicket. Padikkal got out after scoring 52 off 34. Jaiswal followed him soon for a 37-ball 47. Harshal Patel(43.79%) removed Sanju Samson(11.57%) in the 16th over, and Rajasthan required 60 off the last 4 overs. 40 runs came off the next 3 overs, and 20 were needed off the final one. R Ashwin started the over with 4,2 and 4. But Harshal Patel(43.79%) made a great comeback by getting him out. The last 2 balls produced just singles, and Bangalore won by 7 runs.


Match 33: Chennai Vs. Kolkata


Chennai 235 for 4 (Rahane 71, Dube 50(43.55%)) beat Kolkata 186 for 8 (Roy 61, Rinku 53(33.63%)) by 49 runs.


Kolkata asked Chennai to bat first in the Eden Gardens. They started with a solid opening partnership of 73 runs in 7.3 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad(21.00%) was the first one to fall after scoring 35 off 20. Devon Conway’s fine innings of 56(40) also ended in the 13th over. At that point, Chennai were 109 for 2 with 47 balls left in the innings. Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube(43.55%) then combined for a destructive partnership of 85 runs that took only 32 deliveries. Dube thrashed 50 off 21 while Rahane hit 71* off 29. Ravindra Jadeja(↑1.13%) also chipped in with an 8-ball 18 as Chennai posted 235 for 4 on the board.

In response, Kolkata were reduced to 1 for 2 in the second over. Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana(9.69%) added some stability to the innings by scoring 20(20) and 27(20). Sunil Narine’s value went down by ₹40.64, while Varun Chakravarthy’s(↓35.31%) price dropped by ₹35.38. Moeen Ali(↓15.87%) was also among the losers as his price decreased by ₹20.33.
